We set the tone. Do you love creating an inviting and inspiring atmosphere through sound? As an audio technician, you are responsible for the high-quality sound at our church services. Whether it's a band or a sermon - your mix ensures that the message is conveyed clearly and impressively.

Two different positions are possible for an application: FOH mix for the hall or broadcast mix for the live stream

Tasks

These are typical activities for this job profile.
  • Live mixing of music and speech during the services
  • Operation of the modern and digital audio infrastructure
  • Preparation and assembly/disassembly of the technical set-up: microphones, instruments, etc.
  • Management of the sound check (FOH), optimisation of the audio signals and creation of the mix
  • Creation and supervision of the monitoring mixes for the musicians
  • Collaboration with musicians, in particular agreements regarding procedures and events

Requirements

You should have these skills or willingness to work.
  • Experience in audio and electrical engineering is an advantage
  • You have a healthy and good ear for music and language
  • You have a certain musicality and technical affinity, know current music styles and possibly play an instrument yourself
  • Reliability, ability to work in a team, an eye/ear for detail
  • Analytical thinking, structured and relaxed approach to problem solving
  • Willingness to familiarise yourself with new technology outside of work and to undergo continuous further training
  • Participation in regular team workshops for exchange and further training

Development opportunities

These are other areas of responsibility that could arise with a collaboration.
  • Coordination and accompaniment of other events as an audio technician, e.g. weddings, community weekends, concerts, outdoor events
  • Co-design and further development of concepts and the technical infrastructure
  • Taking on a leadership role in the team
